Well situated in the downtown core, Commun-Tricot is a boutique-workshop where customers can knit, chat and sip a coffee in a relaxed, friendly environment. New projects can be chosen from the large selection of commercially spun yarns or from their handspun wool. With 70 years of combined experience, the two owners are passionate fibre artists working in association with local breeders to produce a quality wool that is soft to the touch. All stages of the transformation process from the washing of raw fleece to the carding, dyeing and spinning is done in the shop where visitors can share in the experience. One-of-kind original felted, knit and crochet designs created by co-owners Marie-France and Wendy are available for purchase. Private, semi-private or group workshops are available to learn techniques for creating your own masterpieces at home.
