About Us
Our mission
The Bureau de tourisme et des congrès de Saint-Hyacinthe (BTC) is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to promote tourism and conventions, welcome visitors, and further the development of tourist businesses in Saint-Hyacinthe and the surrounding area.
Almost a hundred businesses and organizations from all over our regional county municipality, the MRC Les Maskoutains, are currently members of the BTC.
Funding for the BTC comes from the City of Saint-Hyacinthe, from the selling of services, publications, and promotional items by the BTC, and from the community through its members.
Our tourist information office

year-round, our Bureau d'information touristique
(tourist information office) is one of the busiest in
the Montérégie region with over
9,000 information requests answered in the year
2009. Here you will find literature on Saint-Hyacinthe,
the Montérégie, and Quebec's
other tourist regions, souvenirs from Saint-Hyacinthe,
and an exhibition area that showcases various
aspects of life in our region by hosting thematic
exhibits from local artists.
Display Space Rental
Non-member tourist businesses of the Bureau de tourisme et des congrès de Saint-Hyacinthe can rent space on one of the literature displays in our tourist information office.
The advantages of renting such a space:
- An office that provides information about all of Quebec's tourist regions;
- A location opened year-round, 7 days a week in summer (from May to October); 6 days a week (from November to April)
- A location less than 1 km from Jean-Lesage Highway
(Hway. 20) and its average daily traffic flow
of 40,000 vehicles;
- Over 330 display spaces available for rent.
Rental periods and rates
are as follows:
- 1 year for $150
- 6 months for $100
- 1 consecutive month (for events only): $50
All applicable taxes at the time of rental are not included.

 Exhibition Area
Our tourist information office has a 900 sq. ft. exhibition area and hosts about 10 exhibits from local artists through the year.
